To catch you up on all of our end of the year shenanigans, here is our first blast from the past post. The end of last year was a flurry of excitement and joy that kicked off with B's graduation. So, let us relive the celebration of his walk across the stage in today's flashback post!
We all met up at the actual ceremony--look how cute he is in his regalia!--to cheer on Byron as he crossed the stage to grab that diploma. We had rehearsed a walk-off-stage-dance, but at the last second, B crumbled under the pressure of the public and walked like a normal person. Oh, well, he was still the cutest graduate in the world.
As mentioned in previous posts, Byron and I are SO lucky to have two loving sets of family. My sisters call him 'brother' and visiting one another's family is like going home to our own. All that to say, both of our families came down to Waco to celebrate our beloved graduate and we had one big party! In this gallery, you can get a sneak peek of Mr. Ibex, a holiday addition to our house.
I love giving gifts and showering Byron with love...so this day turned into a special treat for him because I went crazy. We were all so proud of B and we wanted to congratulate him and prepare him for the future!
Baylor's school song is That Good Old Baylor Line...to memorialize Byron's time as an undergrad, I took each line of the song and picked a gift to go with. B received...
That Good Old Baylor Line (Card)
That Good Old Baylor Line (Wooden Bear Cufflinks)
We'll march forever down the years (Camping socks)
As long as stars shall shine (Constellation shirt)
We'll fling our green and gold afar (Slingshot...a grown-up boy's dream)
To light the ways of time (Headlamp)
And guide us as we onward go (Travel scratch-off map)
That Good Old Baylor Line! (Alumni License Plate)
Oh boy, I knocked that grad's sock right off of him! It is so fun to make people feel special.
We are so proud of our graduate! he is already one month into being a working man and he is so wonderfully supportive and amazing! What fun it is to relive all the joy of last year...hope you enjoy!
